Video, TBPID, Photos, Hannah

I'm really irritated at a moron in my class (I mean, who pays $70,000 a year for a private art school and doesn't care about anything? Mommy and Daddy paying it for you while I'm going to work for the rest of my life to pay for this? And turn your freaking headphones down, dude! I can hear it over Avenged Sevenfold! DX) and so here I am serial-updating the site again. Luckily it's about noon instead of 4am per usual. However, my 30-second Motion Graphics project isn't doing itself. Ha. Take that, AfterEffects! *sigh*

Here's a video interview of Billy Talent with a bit of My Chemical Romance thrown in for kicks. I haven't seen it yet, so don't spoil it for me Thanks Racha!

Interesting tidbit about The Black Parade is Dead! tracklisting available from theblackparadeisdead.com. If you click on that thumbnail on the left, you'll notice that Warner didn't do a very good job with the spellcheck or accuracy.

In the first column (CD listing), Dead! is missing the !, but is present on the other two columns, and disappear is spelled wrong in the first column but correct in the other two. That's just the beginning. From what I've read, Jetset wasn't even played in New Jersey, instead replaced with a "new song", however, it's on the tracklisting for the New Jersey show in the third column. This isn't really related, but I thought this was pretty funny anyhow. I hope that's just the mockup because, if it's not, someone's getting fired haha.

Oldies but goodies, yeah? Some photos by Peter Hill done of My Chemical Romance at the Brighton Center in March 2007 have resurfaced. I'm quite liking the quality of his photography. Very, very nice.

Speaking of photos, Shell has been updating with phenominal photos of the recent tour. This is seriously bothering me, but why is Gerard wearing a purse strap? I can't just settle for the fact that it's keeping him from destroying the world. Well, I can, but I'm just insatiably curious. Freaking Italians aging backwards.

The Daily Mail has posted yet another article about 13-year-old Hannah Bond whose suicide is being blamed on My Chemical Romance. Why on earth did their daughter — a popular, intelligent and attractive girl — do such a thing? They could find only one clue: Hannah was what is known as an "emo". Milking the public much? The parents just don't want to take any blame in that they were ignoring the fact their daughter was also a depressed cutter. If cutting isn't a cry for help (and then having a conversation with your parents about it?), then I don't know what is. See post below.

Would anybody care to have a download of the current My Chemical Romance and The Black Parade logos (massive size jpg file)? I'm going to get those up either in the Gallery or under the Media link. And, as for those videos I'm promising? I still have a mysterious broken pipe, whatever that means.

Emo-ness, Soapbox

Got some time to read? Here's an article worth your time.

Emo on the web: exploring a subculture (source)
Highlights from the article:
- Emo has deep and spreading roots, which few who are close to it regard with much alarm. What began as narrowly defined musical genre more than two decades ago has since broadened into an attitude, a lifestyle and a fashion statement that has found a spiritual home on the internet.
- As with so many musical movements past and present, from hip hop all the way back to mods and rockers, the look and the attitudes of the bands evolved into an identity which many fans, especially those who considered themselves to be part of the hardcore following, would consciously seek to adopt.
- When a young person commits suicide, there is of course an understandable urge to find someone or something to blame, but today’s emo forums don’t differ all that much from non-emo forums. One discussion group at EmoCorner.com does include the alarming topic heading of “Cutting… is it worth it?”, referring to the habit of self-harm which some have associated with emo culture, but the resounding reply from the online community is: “Don’t do it. Seek help” – but expressed a little more robustly.
- In any case, most psychologists suggest that expressing feelings of angst or depression is healthier than bottling them up.

Bunnies (my petname for my visitors if you haven't caught on yet lol), I should have done this sooner, as other fansites have. Ready for another round of "Johnnie's Soapbox"? Right.

You are not alone. As most of us in the fandom know, My Chemical Romance save lives, not destroy them. I don't have as big of a problem with Emo as most do, mostly because I simply don't care to have one since everyone has enough of an opinion to cover for me, but self-harm and depression is never a fashion statement or trend. There are as many as 8.3% of teens suffering from depression for at least a year at a time, compared to 5.3% of the general population. Untreated depression is the number one cause of suicide, and suicide is the third leading cause of death among teenagers. We'll do anything to take away the pain and, even though they may seem like they help, often they are unhealthy themselves, eventually becoming even greater struggles like addictions such as drugs, alcohol, eating disorders, or self-injury. Experts estimate that 4% of the population struggle with self-injury. It has the same occurrence between males and females, even though in popular culture it can appear to be more prevalent among girls. While self-injury may not be about attempting suicide, the damage done while harming oneself always carries the risks of inflicting serious, and even lethal, harm to oneself regardless of whether suicide is intended or not. Self-injury is an addiction like alcohol or drugs and is nearly impossible to simply stop cold. However, there is help and you don't have to do it alone.

No, I've never felt this way, but before you wonder how I deserve to be on this soapbox, just know I've seen this on the outside. I can't betray her trust and let you know what's happened, but I will tell you that she was in that position, and picking up her violin is, I believe, going to be the thing that saves her. Don't underestimate the power of music and creativity, whatever it may be that works for you.

Facts from To Write Love On Her Arms.

If you need help, please don't be afraid to speak out, don't act out. Click here for a list of places around the world that specialize in self-harm/self-injury.

If you want to repost this somewhere, go for it. I don't need a link back. Just thinking someone somewhere may get use of this is good enough for me.

EDIT BY KATHLEEN:::
If for some reason you don't want to listen to what Johnnie had to say, then you can listen to me.

I don't have any statistics. I don't have any proven facts. What I do have is a memory.

I remember three years ago when I first started to harm myself. As innocent as I thought it was, it soon spun out of control to the point when I was carrying around a razor blade with me nearly everywhere I went just so that I could get through the day or even just the hour.
Needless to say I was a wreck.

It is for this reason that I urge you to talk to someone if you want to or have already started to self harm. There is always someone you can talk to. And no matter what you believe, there is someone who cares. If worse comes to worse, you can always email me [email link here]. I'll listen to whatever you have to say. Just talk to someone.

No matter what you believe, you are a beautiful and unique snowflake. You deserve to love the world and most importantly you deserve to love yourself. You also deserve better than a fucking razor blade.

Believe this with your life. And always have hope.
<3 Kathleen.

For anyone else interested, and those who don't go through our little chatbox, the link for the video where Gerard says "if we never play another show again... keep yourself alive" is right here.

And here is an article [sort of] of people defending My Chem after the recent accusation that they were at fault for a thirteen-year-old's suicide.
Time For Something Bibical said: "My heart goes out to her family, but you don't get 'sucidial' just solely by listening to 'emo' music, there are always deeper reasons and connections.

On a side note, does anyone else completely hate what they named that article?

Remember awhile back when it was mentioned that Emily the Strange would be interviewing Gerard Way? Whether or not you actually remember, smile and nod, and check out these scans that MySpace Comic Books posted up. Who else thinks Gerard just belongs in her comic?? I do. They are absolutely adorable together in ink! Thanks to Betheny.
A 13-year-old girl committed suicide and guess who is to blame. If you guessed My Chemical Romance, then you are correct! Whoot! Check out the outrageous article here. I feel bad the poor girl killed herself, but the blame should be on the people who knew she was cutting herself. That's not normal, nor is it healthy. Metal Hammer posted on it, as well, however, with a lot more common sense, even ending their article as such: Still, don't let a few factual inaccuracies get in the way of a sensationalist story, eh? Rock on, Metal Hammer.

Remember my little review of the St. Louis show and Gerard was having issues with the zipper in his new pants? Yeah. That. Someone managed to get that recorded. Have fun lol.

I've been trying to add new videos for you bunnies but apparently my FTP has a broken pipe. FTP is the little program that I use to upload files to the site (there's no easy uploader for this thing!), so I don't know what a 'broken pipe' is supposed to be. So. Right. There goes my self-esteem in computer knowledge. Anyhow, I have My Chemical Romance's spot on SNL in 2006 in HD (yeah...not just HQ, but HD!), and "Song 2" and "I Don't Love You" as performed in Taratata in HQ as well. Oh, yeah, I also have a couple of MP3s to upload. However, my FTP apparently has a broken pipe. Will get back to you on those uploads, though.

Hats off to Lauren for offering some assistance with my...WordPress stupidity....I suppose it should be called lol. It's finished...minus a few details, ya know, like a design that works in IE and the navigation pages (e.g. Mikey, Media, etc.) are missing...their links... o.O Oh, laugh if you must. Haha.

Alright. It's 5am, I have lab at 9am, I still need to do tutorials, and when I'm this off center, I shouldn't be allowed on the Internet. Kathleen! I need that straight jacket back, love.

Message from Mikeyway.
Hey Guys and Gals,

We have all been anxiously waiting for June 24th. On this day, the DVD/CD entitled "The Black Parade is Dead" hits stores, online outlets, and other avenues. Starting today, you'll be able to preorder said DVD/CD directly from
theblackparadeisdead.com . It depicts the final "Black Parade" show in all of its arena-rock glory, live from Mexico City this past Fall.

We also decided to include a video of the intimate show we had at New Jersey's legendary club, Maxwells, this past October. We played one of our very first shows on that stage, and it was amazing to be on it once again. These shows were some of the most memorable and fun we've ever had onstage. The kids at the Mexico City show actually overpowered the PA, and their voices were deafening. The Maxwells show was complete pandemonium, and the video captures the feeling of and old school MCR show, the way it was way back when. I want to apologize for the wait, as we wanted to make sure that it was absolutely perfect for your viewing pleasure.

With the pre-order, you are entitled to 3 DRM-free download of select tracks from the Mexico City show (Mama, Dead, and Welcome to the Black Parade). Inside the special edition, you'll find the DVD tucked inside of a collectible pinewood coffin box with our logo burned into the top. Also, inside, you will receive 1 of 5 Day of The Dead-esque masks we each designed. We had a blast designing them, and hope you have a blast wearing them, (or whatever else you choose to do with them). The special edition also contains a "death certificate of authenticity with our signatures printed on it. This edition if extremely limited, so if you want one, pre-order sooner than later.

We are almost finished with our special intimate theater tour and it's been insane. Some of venues we haven't played in many years, and flood my head with fond memories. It's amazing to be able to share with all of our fans old and new.

We love each and every one of you, and hope you have as much fun watching it as we had making it.

Regards

Mikeyway

----

WordPress shall be up sooner than later I'm also looking for a way to rip that Bamboozle interview with Mikey so I might be able to get that up at some point. I've also got a couple of HQ vids to put up later. So...hopefully we'll be able to keep this site alive for the next two years, yeah?

I have no idea what got into those guys, but My Chemical Romance was insane in St. Louis. There was a small smattering of Frerard, too.

Highlights:
- Frank grabbed the harmonica player's crotch.
- Gerard ruffled Frank's hair once, and was a little too friendly with him at times ;)
- Frank and Ray continued to nuzzle faces.
- Gerard did his classic 'suck' on the microphone...however it was in Mikey's face.
- At the end, Bob went freaking insane and all you could see was him headbanging and playing drums at the same time.
- Bob played "Fallen Leaves" with Billy Talent
- Ray was blowing his hair out of his face.
- Gerard just bought new pants and the fly wouldn't stay zipped, so it was down most of the show and he made a running joke of it.
- Gerard was insanely tempted by the bright red, fluffy boa I had. Every time he came over, I shook it around, and he stayed there and watched it haha. When I finally threw it at the beginning of "Prison", he missed it and threw this little dance/temper tantrum over missing it and picked it up.
- Bob did something (don't know what) that made the rest of the guys all turn around in a line with their backs to us and stare at him, which prompted Bob to give them the finger as he played the beginning of "Famous Last Words". I think he was goofing off with James and missed the intro or something silly.
- People started doing the "M-C-R" during James' piano solo, which I found extremely rude. So, if you were there and heard someone in the front yell, "Yeah, James!" or something, then that was me. It was a LOT shorter than the one he did in Birmingham and I think it was because of the response he was getting, and his entire family was there to see the crowd be so rude. Grow up, kids.
- Matt Cortez was milling around and did some jamming on the guitars. Sweeeet
- I bawled during "Desert Song"
- Gerard's fly was seriously having issues.
- Ray was on an invisible pogo stick at one point and was bouncing up and down so much he about ran right into Gerard.
- At one point, Gerard about got smashed between Frank and Ray who were being insane.

So, I finally heard it myself. Gerard announced they will, in fact, be taking a two-year break. I heard this with my own ears so believe it. I have a hard time believing they'll actually be away for two years, but they deserve a break so badly.

After the show, I met Frankie. Whoot! Got my ticket and Jenny's setlist from Alabama signed. I also got a very warm, cheek-to-cheek hug with him. And if anybody wants to argue, five-foot-five is too tall for Frank. I'm five-three and he was hardly taller than I. He's also now aware of the motion graphics project I'm doing on Skeleton Crew Records and will be sending him when it's finished.

My cheek is still warm.

Oh, and I got a "Mikey Fuckin Way" shirt, and that stupid Iron Maiden-inspired one, because it's cool. I don't know where I'll wear the MFW shirt, but, oh well. In most places, it's against dress code to wear it, but I will definitely wear it to concerts in the future, whether it's MCR or not lol. Also got my picture taken by the Skeleton Crew promotion kids since I had my Skeleton Crew hoodie on (which I was wearing when I met Frank lol).

Shout-out to the lovely ladies that put up with me in line: Deedee, one of the coolest moms ever--end of story. Stevie, who is ultimately awesome. Jamille and Stephanie, awesome girls, who let me put them on video for my project. Also, if you want to support a very heart-felt band, please check out Technicolor Aquahearts which was put together by a lady who's life was changed for the better thanks to My Chemical Romance. Cheers to the Finnish "Teenagers" cheerleaders, the ladies from England, Christina and her crew. Catherine, I hope you made it to Philly alright. You have my info if you need anything. If I missed someone...I just got home and haven't slept yet. Comment and yell at me lol.

Unfortunately, they were taking cameras again so I have no photos or anything. However, my mom was at the show and they didn't take anything in the back so she took some photos and video on her Palm Treo so I should be getting that next week.

Also, don't shove me and all of us up in front because we're over 21 and you're not. We got into the pit first because we all went through the Halo Bar and got let in earlier than everyone else. Get over it. I was in your place and I deserve to be up there now. You'll get your time. It's more expensive to do all-ages shows and more of an inconvenience to venues because of underage drinking and all sorts of bull. So, seriously, get over it. (end rant)

Kathleen, I am now in possession of part of your birthday present and there's nothing you can do about it.

And...I need to go to bed. In my MFW shirt. *snuggles in it* Miiiiikeyyyyy....... (lack of sleep)

General, Birmingham

So, life sucks. Yeah, it really does. I'm giving up the Memphis concert due to conflicts with school. I feel like I need to mourn the loss. I really do. Also, at Birmingham, they were confiscating cameras. Or so they said. And then they didn't check on them, so I don't have ANY footage of Birmingham. If anybody finds any, please please please send them my way. It was amazing.

Jenny and I got to the Sloss Furnace around 10 or 11am, something like that. We ended up being two people deep from Ray. Drive By didn't really sit well with me. The bassist was cool, though. Billy Talent was insanely awesome. I was a fan of them before I knew they toured with MCR so that was special for me. The guitarist (flat-top hair dude, sorry don't know his name lol) had a "Mikey Fuckin'" something on. It wasn't the real shirt, though. It might have said "Mikey Fuckin' Frey" or something, but I saw a "rey" at the end. It definitely wasn't "Way". Interesting. And Mikey's tee is all in caps and says "MIKEY FUCKIN WAY" but this one was in lowercase.

My Chem was amazing. No video or photo or review could ever do those men justice. James Dewees is my hero. He is a complete madman on that piano. He was shaking the speakers just as loud as Bob. Bob is priceless with his one striped sock and one white sock and his green and white slipper shoes or whatever they were. And Ray is amazingly....everything. And Mikey is....phenominal. My first time seeing him live. I cried during Desert Song. And, if you're reading this: Carol, I sang Famous Last Words and I Don't Love You in your honor. I also dedicated my singing of Famous Last Words to Leenie. Kathleen, wish you would have been there. Gerard, unfortunately, was a bit ill. He made the audience sing a lot, and he recovered nicely from his voice breaking once or twice. He was absolutely amazing. Frank was a lot more mobile than I've heard. He came over to our side several times and, yes, nuzzled faces with Ray. That was way too cute. Bob and James were cracking each other up in the back. Gerard was constantly over on our side. Once he came over, we all leaned forward, and he decided to lean up against the speaker...and watched! And then smirked and walked off. Twas very funny.

I do however have audio (random video) of the sound check that was coming outside. Gerard was...moaning or something? We joked saying that he was haunting The Sloss so I have...Gerard as a haunt. They also did Mama. I have quite a bit of the sound check, if not almost all of it. I'll post that when I get a chance, as well as writing out a proper review. I'm finishing up a project for class tonight and the last of my packing so I'll see you all in St. Louis if you are there

NEWS!

You have no idea how excited I am that I actually found news. It feels like it's been forever since I updated the site about anything. Have you guys missed me?

The Black Parade Is Dead!
My Chemical Romance will release a live CD/DVD called "The Black Parade Is Dead!" on June 24th on Reprise Records.

The package captures different sides of My Chemical Romance by spotlighting two very different shows. The CD and DVD feature concert highlights from the huge Palacio de los Deportes sports arena in Mexico City on October 7th, 2007 and the intimate Maxwell's club in Hoboken, NJ, on October 24th, 2007. Both shows demonstrate why critics have raved about The Black Parade World Tour, which began on February 22nd, 2007, and will conclude with a triumphant sold out hometown headlining show at New York City's fabled Madison Square Garden on May 9th, 2008.

Beginning on May 5th when the website goes live, fans will be able to pre-order "The Black Parade is Dead!" by visiting www.theblackparadeisdead.com, where they can also view a trailer for the DVD. Anyone who pre-orders the album from this special website will also gain access to downloads of three DRM-free tracks from the Mexico City show: "Welcome to the Black Parade," "Mama," and "Dead!".

"The Black Parade is Dead!" will also be released in a collectible, limited-edition version, which will feature the CD and DVD, plus a mask designed by one of the band members, in a pine box coffin. (Each band member has designed one mask, which has been selected for inclusion in each box at random.) Another CD/DVD bundle also includes an exclusively designed t-shirt. All special editions are available only online at TheBlackParadeIsDead.com.

Billy Talent Talks About My Chemical Romance!
Billy Talent performed at the Fillmore Auditorium last week and did not disappoint fans. Together for more than a decade, the Canadian four-member band has developed into a melodic punk rock force. Billy Talent is known for its ability to command the stage and maintain a humble attitude as well. After the release of two international multi-platinumelling records and touring nonstop for more than a year, Billy Talent finally had a chance to come back to North America to work on a new album. That is, until called with a special request. Currently touring across the country with My Chemical Romance, Billy Talent was in town and lead singer Ben Kowalewicz sat down to discuss the tour and the upcoming album.

How have you been? How is the tour going so far?

BK: I've been great. We've been great. It's been weird because we were home for about six months, writing the next record and everything was going good, then we got the call. "My Chem want you to open for them!" and we can't say no 'cause they are such great guys and that's lots of humans that we'd be playing in front of every night. We're halfway through the tour now and it's been amazing, amazing, amazing. Shows have been great, people have been great.

Did you know My Chemical Romance before this tour?

BK: We met them in the summer. We were doing festivals in Europe and they were there and we bumped paths. They were in Finland when we were thereand they called us up that morning and asked us if we wanted to play with them. So we went and played and forged this relationship with them. They are really sweet and very nice to us, so, yeah, it's a good mix.

So what do you do on the road for fun?

BK: Well My Chem has a road case with a plasma TV, guitar hero and Xbox. They have remote control cars. They have lots of fun stuff. We're the losers. We read books, watch DVDs and play poker. We're not the hippest cats.

Do you ever sneak over to their bus and try to play?

BK: I haven't actually yet. I'm not a big fan of Guitar Hero.

So that's all I have. Nothing's really been happening since they'll be taking a break after this. I have to devise some things to keep the site alive during the break. I'm learning a lot in my motion graphics class and stuff so I might do some things like that just to make the site a wee bit more interesting. I don't know. I'll think of something. I have some stuff I could still upload as media so that might work, too.

Reviews/Articles:
- "Packed Rialto Finds True Romance" - Arizona Star, Rialto Theatre. Saturday night at the Rialto Theatre, My Chemical Romance featured a bassist, two guitarists, a drummer, a keyboardist and some 1,400 singers.
- Snippet of stuff from Las Vegas. Basically who hung out with who and did what when.
- Rolling Stone is as full of sarcasm as ever. Normally a preppy college town baked in desert heat, Tempe, Arizona was bathed in darkness Friday night thanks to the black-clad denizens who descended upon Tempe Beach Park for My Chemical Romance’s tour kickoff.
- Polarizers: To Know Them Is To Love Them Or Hate Them. THERE ARE few modern rock bands as divisive as My Chemical Romance, but no matter what you think of the band's Thursday-cum-Queen emo-pomp bombast, 1 million My Chemical Romance fans can't be wrong. The same could be said for the 1 million MCR haters.
- Holy Crap! A review + awesome graphics? My Chemical Romance at The Joint. More reviews need to look like this. Amidst a sea of shrieking and frenetic fans, MCR became THE rock n roll venue-shaking machine with lead vocalist, Gerard Way commandeering the band with his ultra-visual stage presence that in itself was a pure theatrical and dramatic spectacle.
- Apparently MCR was one of the few acts worth remembering at Bamboozle Left. Another article on the same thing here by MTV.
- Another little snippet on Billy Talent who knew that playing with My Chemical Romance was the opportunity of a lifetime.

Another lovely human has stumbled across The Umbrella Academy and thoroughly enjoyed it. yet another "well done" to Gerard, Gabriel, and the team!

Photos from Gerard's comic signing in Porland have been posted thanks to the store. Snippet on the Portland comic book signing. Another little snippet written by a fan about the signing with photos.

A little something random, but Mike Shinoda goes on and tells everyone that Gerard was a forgetful jerk when it came down to submitting his art for the Projekt Revolution art book. It's really funny, and Mike just has an awesome way of telling stories. <3 Mike!

Alright so I have officially spent about four hours doing this update (including gallery uploads and fishing out spam comments). I know, it's a little 'catch all' like some tend to be, but some of those articles really are good.

I'm receiving some really nice input on the DVD project. Keep in mind you don't have to be from the United States to do this, and you don't have to go to a show.

Request

Okay, so, about this project I'm doing and asking people to see me at the shows.

I'm making a video documentary of My Chemical Romance fans. Ya know, to basically disprove the fact that we're all psychotic 10-year-olds who burn down churches, slap our mothers, slit our wrists, and need to be locked away in a straight jacket in a padded room. This is the side of My Chemical Romance that the general public doesn't get to see. The fans whose lives have been made better by this band, people who simply enjoy their music, people who are die-hard and wait 20 hours in the freezing rain because they are that touched deeply in their hearts by these men.

My friend Jenny (who is doing this project with me) and I will be filming ourselves as well. We'll be a good portion of the documentary because we're going to two, maybe three, shows but we want as many people in this as possible. My Camden girls (lol) will be in this, hopefully.

If you want to be a part of this, you have two choices:

1) Film yourself (and/or your friends) before or after a My Chemical Romance concert, or anywhere really. Nothing stupid. No "OMFG WE LOV EMCRR!!!1111!" Perhaps interview yourself or someone, ask why they like My Chemical Romance, how they have affected them, stuff like that. Just talk about the guys. However, crazy is good, though! I mean, I could do a blooper reel at the end if people want to be silly! Just don't do anything stupid like get yourself or someone else hurt. Be real, be honest.

2) Email me or use the contact form and let me know if you want to meet me (in line lol) at either Memphis or St. Louis. I will be in line to get barricade, so all I ask is that you not show up 30 minutes before the doors open because, well, I'm getting up front. Basically come and see me if you don't have the means to film yourself/getting it to me and still want to be involved. I'll have my video camera on me (hopefully).

Disclaimer: I am not making any money off of this. It will not be sold in any way, shape, or form. However, it may be made available for download. Those involved will receive a copy of it either digitally (over the Internet) or through the mail as a DVD. This is a portfolio piece meaning it will take quite some time to put together and will be finished no later than (lol) August 2009, when I graduate. Basically means employers will see this if they are interested in the video side of my abilities. This is not going to My Chemical Romance. I mean, if they get it by someone, I'm not going to argue (lol) but I have no plans at this moment to make any arrangements to get this to them.

Here's to hoping the hole in his pants grows larger and his face remain immortal (for the love of cats, the man is aging backwards, I swear!).

Getting caught up, though! Added the 14 avatars/icons things compliments of Brigit, and the old-school LOTMS version of I'm Not Okay and a wallpaper thanks to Wendy.

Will get on actual news updates when I sort through those alerts tomorrow (today? Tomorrow for me).

Alright, so I didn't get to updating that stuff. Class is going to kick me this month. Motion Graphics lecture is 5pm-9pm and then lab is 9pm-1am on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. Don't know about my other class, Typography, yet but the lecture is 5pm-9pm. So, yeah. Sucks. I'll probably be on way too much caffeine to sleep when I get home so I'll do it soon. And get Gerard's birthday banner up.

Speaking of Gerard, GWF is back up and I'll be other there to do a recap tonight or tomorrow. Celyn and I are still planning to take over the world, so we'll see what comes of it.

And so this update isn't totally useless, check out these photos from The Joint in Las Vegas on 3/31/2008. Also, our beloved friend Shell has uploaded some really awesome HQ photos of one of the recent shows.

I have about 40+ alerts to go through so I'll hopefully be a little more thorough later this evening. Or early in the morning. Whatever.

P.S. Kathleen I think will be back on the 12th. I miss you! <3

Jenny and I are officially ridiculous. We tried on the boas and they shed all over so we're not wearing them to school since, well, they have to have some feathers left for Gerard. Hah. Check us out.

Really awesome pictures of San Fran were taken by a lovely lady named Alicia which you can find at her photography website here.

Some random funniness when Jenny and I went to the mall.

I'll do a little more updating later. I have three bunny donations I need to get posted. Thank you! <3 Oh, and an inbox full of Google Alerts and *cough* Gerard Butler (still doing a wtf on this one ).

Vegas, San Fran, Funnies

My Chemical Romance got a little panicked in Las Vegas. Some guy got on stage, nearly ran into Frank, scared the crap out of Mikey, and got into it a little with Gerard. Bob nearly came down off the drumset, but security finally showed up. Click here for the full account. Click here for a video about Ben-Gay.
Unrelated to that incident, I found more videos from Las Vegas here, here, and here.

Review of the Warfield show in San Fran, April 3rd. Also included is tips for being in the pit at an MCR show. However, these can apply to any live event. Try this: Short/slight girls - you can't count on guys, so learn to protect yourself. Get your arms up in front of your chest, and bow out your elbows. Worst comes to worst, get behind one big guy and use his back for leverage. More tips under that link. Thanks to the awesome person who created that list. I'm about 5'3" and I know for a fact I can't count on anyone but me in the pit. Some people didn't like that list, but I pretty much agree with it.

Shell found this funny picture of Gee floating around.

And, speaking of funny, I have a totally non-MCR-related laugh but you'll have to wait a bit to get it. It's a photo I took at the mall with Jenny today. Oh, and boas. And Jenny and I are going to be silly and wear the boas to school next week so I might post those so you can laugh at me because we are utterly ridiculous and have to do something with these boas before we hand them off to the guys. Not that you need any reminders, but Gerard's birthday is on April 9th and yes I will be making a banner. After all, he is Mikey's brother. Oh, and he needs props for wearing sleeveless shirts because that's a win right there if I've ever seen one.
